A 71 lbs elephant, 2 leopards, 2 hippos out of one safari, April 2012
Zimbabwe is one of those destinations where anything can happen. Although the rain where late this year, and we had an elephant hunter struggling to get his bull in early season, others had great success with Llyod and his team.
Bordering a National Park can be a very good thing, or just too bad. When the rain is late and the only water remaining is in the park, hunting gets though, but when everything gets together, boy, the quality of the animals harvested on our concession is just out of this world. Remember last year when we got 5 big tuskers out of one safari in March? All averaging 60 lbs per tusk? Well, March was not at its best this year with late rain, but we did get outstanding trophies so far.

Hard to believe that this beautiful 57 lbs is the smallest so far

Herewith that 71 lbs elephant as seen above with leopards

71 lbs elephant with Lloyd and Luke

and a beautiful 77 lbs with a very happy hunter

The cherry on the cake, a 92 lbs elephant!! Those of you who have hunted with Lloyd will know he is a big chap…
THIS is a HUGE ele!

Not to forget the buffaloes, where numbers are not always great, but quality always is! Herewith a 41” and a 42” bulls, pretty much average in this area.

What about leopards? Well, we got an astonishing 100% this year, and we are just getting into the best time for them now!! By the way, there is one left for who ever would be able to travel at very short notice.
See what we got
