PH : John BARNES
Age: Born in Rhodesia (Zimbabwe) in 1948.
Languages: English, Afrikaans and Xhosa.Hunting experience: John was raised on a farm in Rhodesia where his passion for the bush and hunting was started by his father, an ex RAF pilot turned hunter / farmer.John reluctantly followed a career in the pharmaceutical industry while hunting at every opportunity.He qualified as a Professional Hunter and Outfitter in 1996 and entered the hunting industry on a full time basis.

John has hunted throughout South Africa and has done some hunting in Namibia. The lure of Coastal living brought John and his wife Joan to the Eastern Cape in 2004, here John pursues his career as a PH, and Joan her career as an Artist and Illustrator.Favorite animal to hunt is a Kudu. Favorite way to relax – fishing, shooting and just being in the great outdoors.

Tracker: Nahoy
Age: Approximately 50 years old, born in South Africa, Nahoy is from the Xhosa tribe.
Language: Xhosa
Hunting expérience : Nahoy and John have worked together for the past five hunting seasons and John has nothing but respect for Nahoy’s tracking and hunting skills, not to mention his uncanny ability to spot game with the naked eye that most people would not spot with binoculars.He is an extremely skilled tracker and skinner, his skill with a skinning knife as he capes and processes the client’s trophies never ceases to amaze. No matter how tough the hunt is, his enthusiasm never falters.

PH : Deon Jordaan
Age: Born in South Africa in 1975
Languages: English, Afrikaans and XhosaHunting experience: Deon has been hunting since the age of 13, and has been an active professional hunter since 2001. He has solid guiding experience with hunters from various countries, such as USA, Norway, Finland, Spain, Denmark and Germany.  Deon has guided both rifle and bow hunters with great success. He is passionate about hunting and loves sharing experiences with people from all over the world. His favourite animals to hunt are Bushbuck and Kudu, the ghosts of the African Bush.Deon’s other passion is salt water fly-fishing. He has also guided a few of our hunters successfully in this field.

Tracker : Sindile
Age: Born in South Africa in 1973, Sindile is from the Xhosa tribe.
Languages: Xhosa and Afrikaans.
Hunting experience: Sindile has a great passion for tracking wounded animals.

When he combines his efforts with Rex, these two will not give up until the beast is recovered.He has been a tracker and skinner all his life, mostly on a professional scale. He has a good understanding of our hunters’ needs and desires, and is always there to help.His field preparation of trophies is always perfect.

REX
Age: Born in 2006
Breed: Jack Russell Terrier
Language: Afrikaans
Hunting experience: Rex is still young, but has a big heart and is learning very fast. He has recovered a few wounded animals already and has a very promising career ahead of him.Spending so much time in the bush with Deon, he will become a very experienced blood spoor dog soon. Rex has a very loveable nature and several hunters have indicated that they would not mind taking him back home, but Deon is watching!

PH : Allan Schenk
Age: Born in South Africa in 1973
Languages: English, Afrikaans and Xhosa
Hunting experience: Allan has been hunting all of his life and became a professional hunter in 2002. Allan has always been a keen bow hunter and made it his speciality as a professional hunter.
He will not let you sit in a blind if there is a good chance that you can take your animals in the old fashioned way: walk and stalk.  His Jack Russell dogs Fletch and Muzzy are of a great help to recover the bow hunted beasts.

Tracker : Msitheli Gqweeani
Age: Born in South Africa in 1981, Msitheli is from the Xhosa tribe.
Language: Xhosa.
Hunting expérience : Msitheli has been hunting with Allan since 2002.

He has an excellent understanding of what bow hunting is all about.
His is a great tracker and always very keen for any hunting action.

FLETCH & MUZZY
Age: Born in 2001
Breed: Jack Russell Terrier
Language: English, Afrikaans
Hunting experience: These dogs does not take NO for an answer when it comes to blood tracking.
They work as a team, and what a team!! The “Stinger Blood dogs” Fletch and Muzzy are continually on the look out for anything that moves and a sniff of a fresh blood trail.

GUIDE : Mike Papenhuijzen
Age: Born in South Africa in 1983
Languages: English, Afrikaans and Xhosa.
Hunting experience: Mike is new in the game.
He is a keen hunter and has been hunting all his life on the family property. He has been the farm / hunting manager on one of our hunting concessions for the last 2 years and is very passionate about his job.  He has recently joined our team of professional hunters and is very excited to share his passion with our international hunters. Mike’s hobbies includes fishing, diving and water sports.

Tracker : Mellow Kwaaiman
Age: Born in South Africa in 1975, from the Xhosa tribe.
Languages: Xhosa and English.
Hunting experience: Mellow has been with us since 1999 and is a very skilled tracker and a man of exceptional strength and perseverance. Mellow is unmarried and has a herd of goats he is extremely proud of.

BUSTER
Age: Born in 2005
Breed: Jack Russell Terrier “4 wheel low” model.
Language: Afrikaans, English.
Hunting experience: Buster has been hunting for 2 seasons now with good results. He knows what to do and finds what has to be found. His short legs can be a bit of a problem in the long grass, not for him really, but for Mike to catch sight of him!

DIESEL
Age: Born in 2008
Breed: Jack Russell Terrier “4 wheel high” model.
Language: Afrikaans, English.Hunting experience: Brand new edition to Buster, but with long legs! Not even a year old and he has found, with Buster, his first kudu this year!  He surely has big potential…

PH: Themba Dweza
Age: Born in the Ciskei region of South Africa in 1978. Themba is from the Xhosa tribe.
Languages: Xhosa, English and Afrikaans.
Hunting experience: Themba grew up close to Mpofu Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape and has been an avid hunter since he was young.

He started with us in 1998 as a tracker and worked his way up to Hunting/Reserve manager and Professional hunter.
Themba is an excellent PH with unrivalled stalking skills. He is married to Cynthea who runs one of the lodges and has a 2 year old daughter Eviwe.

PISTEUR : Xolilé PANU
Age: Born in South Africa in 1981. Xolilé is from the Xhosa tribe.
Languages: Xhosa and English.Hunting experience: Xolilé has been working as a professional tracker since 1998 and has been with us since 2003. He is married and his wife runs one of our lodges. He is currently an apprentice PH and will hopefully qualify in 2009. He works together with Themba, making them an exceptional team of dedicated hunters.
