Safaris in Zimbabwe

Our Zimbabwe safaris span 250 000 Acres of wilderness bordering the Gona Re Zhou National Park.  It has a 33 Km boundary with the Park with no fences or people living in the area. Gona Re Zhou has been always known for its Big Tuskers.  Our average for the past 2 years is 60LBS aside for elephant. Good buffaloes also to be found in this area, some exceptional bulls coming out of the Gona Re Zhou National Park on a regular basis.

This area is exceptionally good for Leopard.  June/July is the best time for the cats.  Last year we were 100% successful on our leopard hunts and the year before we were 95% successful. With all the rain we have had this year the grass is high and the Leopards find it more difficult to find prey so hit our baits quickly. We like to pre bait about 3 days before the hunt by hanging up about 5 baits as a start.

We do not have too many sable on quota, and they have to be booked well in advance. The area also does have some plains game such as: hyena, kudu, zebra, giraffe, steenbok, duiker, impala, crocodile, night cats ect…  It is mainly a big game area but one does have the opportunity to hunt plains game as well.

Our camp is well established and constructed in such a way that one has the comforts but does not lose the Africa look and experience.  There are three permanent separate chalets which all have in-suit flush toilets and showers with hot and cold water.  The water comes from a well and we bring in drinking water.  All the rooms are screened and sprayed to eliminate bugs and insects which are normally only present during the rainy season.  Our camp is powered by a generator which is 220 volts, so if you bring electrical appliances that use 110 volts then you will need to bring a converter.  There is always a lot of ice in camp with high quality food and drink.  You get a chance to eat some of the animals that you shoot.

Our camp has at least six people running it from chefs, waiters, housekeepers, to gardeners. At night we sit around the large camp fire to relax and enjoy and experience the African nights of tranquillity. If you require a special diet please let us know so that we can try to cater for you as best we can. Food is very good and we take a lot of pride in our camp.
